A Resource for Centers

Barbara Horak, because of her peer counseling experiences at a Pregnancy Center, knows that Real Abortion Stories: The Hurting and The Healing will be a useful resource and that God can use these stories in a powerful way.

These stories are short, 5-11 pages, and most of the chapter titles describe the pressures that influenced the story contributor to choose abortion.

Examples for use with an abortion-minded client:

  • If she's pressured by her boyfriend, show her Chapter 7, then allow her time to read that story. 
  • If she's worried about her education, show her Chapter 1. 
  • And so on...
  • If the client is rushed, give her a book to take with her, after marking the stories that parallel her situation.

Examples for use with a post-abortive client:

  • If she is depressed, refer her to Chapter 1, 6, 13, 14, or 15.
  • And so on...
